A suspected break-in in Forsyth County has escalated into a homicide investigation after deputies discovered a dead inside a residence, leading to the arrest of a 27-year-old man now facing a murder charge.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded on Friday, March 6, 2026, to a home located in the 3000 block of Sell Road. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the homeowner but were unsuccessful. As they continued their investigation, deputies began to notice signs that indicated a possible break-in had occurred.

While searching the property, authorities discovered a deceased individual inside the home. Details about the victim, including their identity, have not yet been released as officials work to notify next of kin and continue building the case.
