The Blair County community is grieving the tragic loss of 19-year-old Taylan E. McGlynn of Tyrone, who died following a devastating crash on Kettle Road in Tyrone Township on June 7, 2026. The collision also left 19-year-old Klayten W. Moore of Port Matilda and 19-year-old Alayna L. Greene of Tyrone injured, while the vehicle was being driven by 19-year-old Corey D. Endress of Tyrone. The heartbreaking incident has left families, friends, and residents mourning a young life lost far too soon.
According to authorities, Endress was operating a 2014 Audi S4 when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle. Investigators say the car traveled off the roadway, striking several small trees before colliding with a large tree and then crashing into a ditch. The severe impact caused catastrophic damage and resulted in fatal injuries to McGlynn.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and worked quickly to assist those involved. Despite their efforts, Taylan E. McGlynn succumbed to her injuries. Moore and Greene were transported to UPMC Altoona for treatment. Their conditions have not been publicly disclosed.
Police have stated that the driver is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. The investigation remains active as authorities continue gathering evidence and determining the full circumstances surrounding the collision.
