The West Liberty community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Linda Sue Bush, a 66-year-old woman who tragically lost her life following a serious collision on Highway 460 West near the West Liberty Vet Clinic on Friday afternoon. Her passing has left family members, friends, and neighbors devastated as they remember a life filled with kindness, compassion, and love.
According to Kentucky State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 3 p.m. when Linda Sue Bush was driving her red 2024 Chevrolet Equinox. Investigators reported that a 2019 Chevrolet rollback tow truck was traveling westbound on US 460 when a vehicle ahead slowed to turn onto Veterinarian Lane. The rollback reportedly moved into the passing lane to overtake the slowing vehicle just as Bush was exiting Veterinarian Lane, resulting in a devastating collision.
Emergency responders quickly arrived and provided medical assistance at the scene. Bush was transported to ARH Hospital in West Liberty before being airlifted to Cabell Huntington Hospital due to the severity of her injuries. Despite the determined efforts of doctors and medical staff, she later passed away from injuries sustained in the crash.
